Kevin started out as a Labour provider of security and stewarding back in the early 90’s, where he met Mahesh Hari (Finance Director). Together they joined forces to become AP Security. Kevin is very much at the helm of the Operational side of the business, orchestrating and ensuring training and compliance is adhered to and quality management systems are in place. Kevin is at the forefront directing our Operational Managers and coordinating our manpower resourcing levels in terms of recruitment and deployment. Kevin is based at our Watford Head Office and always the first one in, and last to leave!

ABOUT ME

Mahesh is one of AP's founders. He started in the industry in 1984 as a voluntary steward and began trading in 1991. Now Finance Director, Mahesh is instrumental not only in the company's drive towards financial success, but also investment in administrative and communications support such as the automated rostering and booking tool, Schedule Master (AP is one of the first owners and users of the system in the UK), as well as utilising the latest fingerprint technology for time and attendance systems.

Mahesh now forms one fifth or the Director-level leadership of AP, a company he has been instrumental in growing to its position of industry leader.

ABOUT ME

Martyn started working in crowd management back to the early 80s. Since then, he has been instrumental in brokering many legislative and best practice procedures throughout the industry. His forthright and honest approach to the most complex issues has seen him become a key player at world renown venues such as Wembley Stadium (Level 5 Manager) and at major events like Glastonbury Festival (Silver Command member). A very clear thinker who can be relied upon to make things happen, Martyn has kept AP at the forefront of the industry.

Taking the Director's lead in Training, HR, and Sales and Business Development, Martyn has seen and, indeed, championed, huge change since the days of football hooliganism and unlicensed security in those heady days when his beloved Chelsea and Mott The Hoople ruled London.

James has over thirty years’ experience in the Crowd Safety Management & Security industry, specialising in Security and Stewarding Consultancy, and Project Management. Aside from operational management and delivery, James is an integral part of the Board at A.P. overseeing the compliance, due diligence, contractual and the legislative practices within the business. In his spare time, he’s a Scout Leader, enjoys Clay Pigeon, and most weekends (if we allow it) he can be found walking or cycling the hills of Cheshire with his family.

ABOUT ME

Wayne is a highly experienced security specialist with over 30 years in the security industry which has enabled him to hone his commercial experience and acumen. A former member of HM Forces with an extensive operational background started him on his journey within this line of work. Wayne has a real passion for the industry and is well versed in managing multicultural and complex teams often in challenging environments. His subject area matters of expertise include; planning and running large event / security operations, compliance, and training, devising and implementing risk assessments, security risk management, physical and property security, executive protection, Hostile environment security awareness and life coaching, and holds an extensive collection of qualifications to support his expertise.

Wayne joined AP Security (APS) Ltd in 2006 as Security Manager and has since progressed through the company and is now Director of Training and Operations, leading the industry in training initiatives within the current climate, whist also exceeding clients expectations with the high standard of training we provide to all our staff.

Steve started in events in 2000 as a part time job, and worked his way to become one of our Senior Operations Managers at AP. The best way to describe Steve is one of the most hardworking and loyal members of the team we’ve ever seen, and if you’ve had the fortune of working with him, you’ll know to prepare yourself for a long day of walking, and to wear good shoes.

Steve strives for satisfaction, improvement, and professional gain, undertaking many courses to progress his knowledge and understanding in this field, and he constantly claims you never stop learning.

When not at work, you’ll find him in the valleys of Wales where he’s hoping to retire very soon (if we let him that is). Great to have you on board Steve.

ABOUT ME

For me, security was a 2nd career!

Initially I gained a degree in Business Organisation and became a qualified accounting technician. In 2008, I made a gradual transition into the security industry, starting as a part-time event security, before going full-time in 2011 and working my way up to senior management level.

During my years in security, I have gained experience in a variety of different areas, including corporate manned guarding, large events, and venue security. Just as happy working in small intimate venues as I am at large festivals or stadia, most times you’ll find me working backstage, VIP, or control room liaison.

As a member of the Security Institute, I am a firm believer in continuous professional development, so I have further enhanced my skillset by achieving a Level 4 Certificate & Level 5 Award in Crowd Safety Management and a Level 6 Diploma in Security Management. As a qualified close protection operative, I am also a qualified First Responder.

Not content with just security related qualifications, I have also expanded my knowledge base within Consulting, Health & Safety, Risk Management and Business Continuity.

ABOUT ME

Cheree joined AP Security in 2010 to assist with recruitment having made great connections with local councils and housing associations. In 2013 Cheree joined our admin team for Wembley Stadium event days which she later took over managing in 2015. This involved double hatting between departments to book staff as well as oversee Recruitment and Human Resources.

Cheree is integral to all our recruitment drives and initiatives, in particularly with local councils supporting individuals getting back into work, and fundamental in our mass recruitment drives for our summer seasons where we can see peaks in staffing levels reach as high as 3,000 personnel. And we are proud to say Cheree has successfully completed her CIPD level 5 and teacher training course.

And we must mention - her incredible cooking, and the meals she brings in for everyone in the office……….so pleased to be back in again….thanks Cheree!

Harry joined us early 2021 as an Office Administrator with a background and qualifications in business management and marketing, he also ran his own tools sales business successfully for 4 years gaining vast experience in the automotive industry. Harry is now one of our Operations Managers, overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations at our Head Office for all Staff bookings, costings, and client relations, and proving to be a great asset for the Team.

ABOUT ME

With over 10 years experience in the accounting sector Ella is no stranger in dealing with large corporate accounts. As the Accounts Manager, she's the backbone of the financial department, undertaking everything necessary to keep the accounts department running smoothly, as well as being right hand woman to the Financial Director.

Ella's can-do attitude and meticulous manner ensures that all financial matters are dealt with accurately, whilst always pursuing ways to streamline her department.

Amazingly, Ella still manages to find time to involve herself in various other company projects, including producing the AP in-house newsletter.
